Almost a year ago we wrote about San Francisco’s City website that is translated into Chinese, Spanish, Japanese, French, German, and Korean using two MT engines (Google and Systran). The Mayor’s Cultural Competency Task Force evaluated the site and recommended using human translators.
We estimate that the market for outsourced language services will grow to US$9.4 billion this year. We discuss some other points of view. |
